Open Day

Rattlesden Gliding Club would like to invite you to our annual public Open Day, Monday 26th August from 10am!

We'll be offering on-the-day taster flights (have you ever experienced a winch launch?!) or if you prefer to keep your feet planted on terra firma pop your head in the hangar to find the British Gliding Association's Simulator!

Maybe get your Christmas shopping finished early with our one-day-only discounts on trial lessons and gliding experiences? In the meantime, explore the static glider display and see how gliders have evolved with both modern and vintage aircraft side-by-side on display! Last but by no means least, learn a little of the history of the airfield through the 447th Squadron memorabilia.

All a bit too much? Feel free to turn up and relax with a cuppa and a bite from the food van and soak up the atmosphere.

Access via the Hightown Green gate opposite Louse Lane. Free entry, free on-site parking while there is space - watch for the marshals in yellow jackets.
