Women Gliding

Saturday 24th July 2025

Rattlesden Gliding Club are pleased to be hosting a day of flying as part of the National Women Go Gliding Weekend event!


We have space for up to 6 ladies to join instructor Sarah for an aerotow and to experience how the gliding club operates and what it means to be a member and fly with us.

Book an aerotow at the discounted cost of £90. Each session will include an introduction to gliding, flight briefing, aerotow launched flight, and subsequent debrief. Includes 3 months membership of the club!

Gliding is more sensitive to weather conditions than flying in a commercial airliner.  Gliding is an adventurous air sport and as such is not as safe as travelling on a commercial airliner.  Gliding clubs operate under carefully developed safety requirements. If you are looking for a totally risk free sport, gliding may not be right for you. The CAA provides guidance on flying in general aviation aircraft here.
